COMPARISON TABLES
If there is one thing the customer has when they come to you, that is options. A LOT of them.
People are craving for things that are REAL (Authenticity duh), but that just means dont write or promote things in a classic Chat GPT jargon….
“A well-crafted comparison table doesn’t just compare features—it highlights your unique value proposition while subtly calling out your competitors' shortcomings.”
I can tell you for a fact that the quote up above did not spark even a fraction of your interest.
Because it sounds like a robot that is being a smartass to you…
Its simple. Comparison tables work because they:
Aggregate all competitor info into one place - You just saved your buyer the time they would have spent on researching the best option
Call out competitors that are lousier than you are - Dont be shy, this is where you portrait yourself as “abnormally” better.
Showing your own flaws - Building trust with the customer
This type of design change brought the best results for “service delivery” type of businesses.
Product based businesses can still use it, However it is much more work. (Does not mean it is not worth it)
The biggest risk in mentioning your competitor in a marketing campaign is, you are telling/reminding your prospects there is an alternative out there.
The prospect will often look at the competitor just because you told them about it.
So if you are going to implement this Strategy.
Make. Sure. You. ARE. ACCTUALLY. Better. Than. Them.
